· MPS Protect 120 mg

· β -glucans and Mannan oligosaccharides (MOS) 300 mg

α -Glucan Butyrogenic produces butyrate in the animal's intestine. It is the main energy substrate of the colonocytes and facilitates epithelium renewal and repair. The mucous surface of the intestine is covered with a single layer of cells known as enterocytes. α -glucan butyrogenic helps the enterocytes develop protection mechanisms against oxidative stress and there is evidence that it helps modulate local inflammation.

MPS Protect has been shown to modulate local inflammation by reinforcing the mucins that cover the intestinal surface, thus preventing pathogenic bacteria from adhering to the intestinal mucosa.

β -glucans and MOS are the specific substrate of beneficial bacteria and improve the viability of these bacteria, as opposed to pathogenic microorganisms. MOS have been shown to effectively neutralize food toxins for subsequent excretion.
